LocalNote website and related services ("LocalNote") work effectively,
efficiently and safely.
1. COLLECTION
Information posted on LocalNote is publicly available. Our computers
are currently located in Australia and we will soon be holding
personal data on computers in the United Kingdom and United States.
If you choose to provide us with personal information, you are
consenting to the transfer and storage of that information on our
computers in either Australia, the United Kingdom, the United
States or other locations we may decide upon in the future.
We collect and store the following personal information:
a) Name;
b) Email address;
c) IP address and standard web log information;
d) Age;
e) Other details you provide;
Depending on the service used, we may also collect and store:
f) Account data (eg. username, passwords used for authentication
etc.);
g) Physical contact information; and
h) Transaction-related information.
2. USE
LocalNote uses such personal information to:
a) Provide you with products or services you have requested;
b) Personalise and customise your experiences interacting with
LocalNote;
c) Resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems;
d) Enforce our policies;
e) Optimise user experience, measure interest in our services, and
inform users about services and updates;
f) Communicate marketing and promotional offers to you;
g) Other purposes as described when we collect the information.
3. DISCLOSURE
We do not sell or rent LocalNote user personal information to third
parties for their marketing purposes. We may disclose personal
information to respond to legal requirements, enforce our policies,
respond to claims that a posting or other content violates other's
rights, or protect anyone's rights, property, or safety. We may
also share personal information with:
a) Corporate affiliates who help detect and prevent potentially
illegal acts and provide joint services; and
b) Service providers who help with our business operations.
4. USING INFORMATION ON LOCALNOTE
You may use personal information gathered from LocalNote only to
follow up with another user about a specific posting. You may not
use personal information gathered from LocalNote to send spam or
otherwise make contact with someone who does not wish to be contacted.
5. MARKETING
If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us,
please email us at any time.

6. SECURITY
We use many methods and tools to protect your personal information
against unauthorised access and disclosure, however we make no
guarantees as to the security of your information.
7. UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION
LocalNote endeavours to ensure that the personal information it
holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
You can use the "MyDashboard" feature to update your details.

you would like your personal information updated.
8. SEEKING ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may seek access the personal information held about you and to
advise LocalNote of any inaccuracy. There are some exceptions to
this right set out in the Privacy Act.
If you make an access request, LocalNote will ask you to verify
your identity and specify what information you require. LocalNote
may charge a fee to cover the costs of meeting your request.
9. GENERAL
We may update this policy at any time, with updates taking effect
when you next post or after 30 days, whichever is sooner. If we are
involved in a merger or acquisition, we may share personal information
with another organisation, and this other organisation shall be
entitled to share your personal information with other organisations
but at all times otherwise respecting your personal information in
accordance with this policy.
